Enjoy the Sante South Wine Festival and Run Now, Wine Later 5K. The events take place this Saturday, April 18, 2015. The wine festival is an event like none other with previews of new wines as well as the best of the best around the south. The wines will be paired with delectable gourmet foods from chefs from around the southeast. Go check out the new exhibit "Mississippi Slave Narratives " at Smith Robertson Museum & Cultural Center. The exhibit will kick off with an opening reception, Wednesday, April 15 at 6:00 p.m. The exhibit will run April thru June, 2015.Music by Maddrama, Diane Williams and Pam Confer. Although Vicksburg is a nice little drive from the Jackson Metro Area, many visit the historically famous town for the Annual RiverFest! The 28th Annual RiverFest Music and Arts Festival is April 17th and 18th featuring live music as well as free Saturday daytime activities. Concerts are from 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight and admission is $10. Saturday's daytime activities start at 8:00 am at the RiverFest Arts & Crafts Show around City Hall. Other activities include live music, street performers, children's activities, food booths, and fabulous sidewalk sales with participating downtown merchants. Go check out this great town and have some fun!
